Can I pay after the editing of my file has been completed?

No, we require full payment before work is commenced on your file. This is because there have been occasions in the past where a client has changed their mind after our editors have started the work. In this situation we cannot recover our fees.

Can I pay a deposit first and the balance later?

Rest assured that we rely to a great extent on recommendations from satisfied clients and happy customers coming back to us for repeat business so we always do our best job for you. Full payment must be made in advance.

What if I am not happy with anything?

We are always very happy and willing to deal with any feedback and will respond to any queries you raise at no extra cost.

Can you do a second edit free of charge if I ask you to?

Although we cannot do this, you may highlight text in your edited file that you have a question about and we will deal with it for no extra charge. This is the case for just a few words. If you require large amounts of text to be looked at then you would be charged at the normal rate.

Can I have a discount?

Please note that our charges are already very competitive as we constantly monitor the market and how much our competitors are charging so our charges are very reasonable. As many of our clients are students we have already set friendly fees to cater for their budget.

Will the contents of my file remain safe and confidential?

Only the editor who is assigned to handle your file will have access to it at all times and the computer used will be password protected so you can have complete peace of mind.

Can I ask to see samples of your editing work?

For reasons of respecting the confidentiality of our clients’ materials, we never disclose even excerpts of our clients’ files to protect the content. If you wish, you may ask us to edit a page of your work for free.

How should I send you my file?

Please email your file through the links on this website.

How should I pay?

When you are happy and ready to proceed, we will send you an email detailing how to make a payment to our bank account and other options.

Will you understand everything or do I need to give you extra information?

An editor with the relevant experience will be assigned to your file. If there is anything that they are unsure of, they will first perform a Google search, and failing that, insert a comment bubble under the track change function of MS Word asking for clarification.

What file formats do you accept?

Mainly we accept Word documents as Word offers the track change function so that you can see all the changes. This is not available in PowerPoint or Excel so you will not be able to see the changes. Pdf files should be converted to Word files as unfortunately Microsoft Office does not include a pdf editor.

How will I see what corrections have been made?

The track change function of MS Word is used by our editors so that you can see exactly what changes have been made. It is then up to you to accept or reject them and raise any comments that you may have with us.

How long will it take?

Before we accept any editing job we will agree a deadline which should be the deadline for us to return it to you rather than when you have to submit it! This depends on our current schedule and when we can fit your job into it.

Will you meet my deadline?

In the 16 years that we have been offering this service, we have never missed a deadline as firstly we understand how important it is and secondly because we want you to come back to us again and again and tell all your friends and colleagues about our great service!

How do I know that you will do a good job?

We have been offering this service since 2003 and we have many many clients both individual and institutional who come back to us year after year. If we do not do a good job on just one assignment for one client we know how badly it will affect the reputation we have built over many years.

Can you issue an editing certificate?

Yes

I have not finished writing my material but can I still email for information?

Yes and it helps us to arrange our work schedule but we will not be able to provide an exact quotation until we know the exact number of words.

Do you know the difference between US and UK spelling, etc.?

Yes our editors are well-versed in both as this is a common requirement in the editing field now.

What do you actually correct?

We will correct grammar, punctuation and usage mistakes as well as the general flow to produce native English fluency. In general we will not change the content unless there are glaring errors but we will point out possible mistakes and always suggest better vocabulary.
