We specialise in the teaching of adults in one-to-one lessons as most students wish to increase their fluency by having regular and effective conversation practice.
We believe that it is not possible to quickly improve oral skills in classes of more than 2 or 3. This is why we recommend our tuition to allow interactive learning where the tutor can react to your needs.
Our concept is to equip you with the kind of English that you need to succeed in all practical situations. The English you learn at school can be very formal and although it is useful in a business environment it is also important to understand common phrases, idioms, slang and figurative use of English to help you to understand spoken English in movies and on TV.
A combination of teaching materials will be used with an emphasis on pronunciation, phonics and some written work if you wish to study in more depth.
If you are not sure whether this type of lesson will be best for you then you are welcome to arrange a trial lesson to decide and to allow us to further assess your needs. If you go on to arrange lessons then this lesson can be included in the special offer.
Online Correction Service
If you are too busy to attend lessons but would like to improve your written skills then you may be interested in joining our Online Correction Service whereby you can send your daily letters and emails, assignments, scripts and theses. Impress your boss with your excellent English!!
We will credit your account with 2,000 words for every HK$200 you deposit into our business bank account.
English Writing Online Course
Online native English lessons by tutors and proofreading staff are given to write grammatically correct English. Our students are often surprised by how many mistakes they make in their English writing when our tutors correct and edit their written English work.
This is why we have introduced our cheaper option of studying English at home. If you join then we will send you English exercises, English essay titles and short answer questions to be completed in English by you. You then email them to us when you are ready and we will correct the English for grammatical errors and English usage mistakes. We will also suggest alternative English vocabulary and tell you where the English sounds strange, i.e. that you have used “Chinese English”.
If you are too busy to complete the English assignments then you may even send us your work emails, assignments and other English writing you have already completed. Some students opt to have additional telephone lessons to discuss matters. A course of 20 assignments over a 2-month period costs HK$750.
